… but I think for less time than Blackmon has been a Rockies player.

I got this piece of trivia from a Twitter account called "Talkin' Baseball".

Here is their info:

Mike Trout debuted July 8, 2011. The next closest players are:

Jose Altuve - July 20, 2011
Salvador Perez - August 10, 2011
Jose Ramirez - September 1, 2013

However, if you look in the replies, someone points out that Charlie Blackmon debuted on June 7, 2011, making him the longest tenured player on the same team. Another person suggested that Talkin' baseball may have excluded Blackmon because he announced his retirement but that would be a mistake, IMO. He is not retired yet, just planning to retire.

Therefore displacedvermoter nailed it on the first guess in this thread. Congrats!

I never would’ve guessed he was one of our longest tenured position players with a single team.

Nice to see that there are several longtime players who have been with just one team their entire careers. That phenomenon has become a rarity.
