and struck out only 37 times. DiMaggio only struck out 369 times in his career compared to 361 home runs.

Tony Gwynn never had that kind of power, but he also was an amazing contact hitter. Just pick a year out of a hat and it's sure to be good. For example, in 1984 he his .351 with only 18 strikeouts, in 158 games!
