But we face-off against the A's tomorrow night
And meanwhile, the Padres have just imploded, and are in total free fall. And to think I picked them to win the division during Spring training; I ain't no baseball sage!

(32,170 posts)they played Sunday night in New York before flying across country to S.F.; got in early morning. No days off against two hottest teams in baseball. At least Giants have a day off and what's essentially a "home" game against Oakland.
Padres still in the wild card race.

(38,270 posts)And now both the Giants and the Mets fly across the country to face off again, and the Mets are feeling their oats after breaking the Dodgers glorious nine day winning streak.
This has been an extraordinary year for baseball, especially if you are a National League (West) enthusiast.

Boy howdy, I'm dragging my feet after watching that 16 inning game between the Dodgers and the Padres last night; if the Padres didn't have bad luck, they'd have no luck at all.
