3 Harris's Hawks on a wire

Unlike other types of hawks Harris's hawks hunt together. Often the young will stay with the parents into adulthood and beyond. The most I have ever seen together was five. It was neat watching these three fly in and land on the wire one at a time.

"Cooperatively hunting groups of Harris's Hawks are more successful at capturing prey than individuals hunting alone. Hawks with more than two members in their group have higher survival rates."
