Related: About this forumdear du birders .
as u know i imitate birds , but with spring upon us in a while .i am stopping all bird imintating as many will be in the process of mating. i dont want to confuse the little ones or get my face clawed . will resume in summer. meanwhile enjoy our feathered friends .

(2,681 posts)I am 84 and just listen to their call to see if i can still identify them. Way long ago I bought the LP records from Cornell University to learn the bird calls and to learn to imitate a few. Now I just listen to the birds calling all around the yard.
I am living with my daughter and she has some big hedges near my bedroom window and there is a bird that calls right at daylight and then no more.
Sounds like a Medium size bird; drivies me crazy wanting to figure out what type of bird it is.
