2. It's that time of year!

I’m waiting to see this winter’s little clown birds come through and gorge themselves on Mountain Ash berries.

3. i saw a museum of ceder waxwings outside my

apartmennt complex eating pyracantha berries getting ruddy drunk once . how dry i am i thought they were a eastern bird , but i guess not. i live in central ca.

5. LOTS of cedar/juniper trees.

6. They are voracious. The blueberry farmers here

have fired cannons. Actually loudspeaker cannons. They have tried netting. I had 60 bushes and had to pick each morning to get the ripe berries. Otherwise the waxwings were on them.
Pretty birds though.
