These are among the hangers on, I think, tho weren't here yesterday (when it was much colder.)

'Fall migration: Geese migrate south to avoid the cold and find food. In North America, Canada geese migrate south in September and October to overwinter in the United States. The exact timing depends on the weather, with geese leaving earlier in colder autumns and later in milder winters'
