WHERE: Zoom (link provided upon registration)
COST: Free!
Hummingbirds are a true wonder of the Americas from their bright colors and speedy flight to their astonishing diversity (more than 360 species!) and incredible migrations. These tiny but mighty birds are unique to the Western Hemisphere and inhabit a wide range of habitats, including tropical rainforests, arid deserts, and even urban neighborhoods.
But hummingbirds are not so small, or so fast, that they can avoid the many threats to their survival, and many are in decline. At least 50 species are under threat across the Americas, including the Rufous Hummingbird, and several are perilously close to extinction, such as Colombia's Santa Marta Sabrewing, Ecuador's Blue-throated Hillstar, Mexico's Short-crested Coquette, and Chile's Chilean Woodstar.
American Bird Conservancy and our partners are determined to reverse hummingbird declines and prevent extinctions of the most vulnerable species. And you can help.
Join us for a FREE webinar on Wednesday, March 25 at 4:00pm ET to learn more about this beloved family of birds and the many ways ABC is working to conserve them, including protecting and restoring habitat, preventing collisions, and educating bird lovers like you on how to help ensure a future filled with these tiny wonders.
