Related: About this forumAnyone here remember Roman Gabriel?
Back in the 60's when there were only like 3, maybe 4 channels on TV, we got the NFL West Coast late game here on the East Coast. CBS had the Rams on almost every Sunday. Gabriel was your proto-typical NFL quarterback. Strong in the pocket and had an arm that was dynamite. On defense, you had the Fearsome Foursome. Loved me the Rams back in the day.....

Also did a movie with John Wayne...The Undefeated.

(10,625 posts)He was tough to bring down. He also did some acting — he was a lot better quarterback than an actor.

(8,869 posts)I was in a pee wee team — like 10 years old — that played a game before the State game. Gabriel shook everyone’s hand. Till this day I think of him as a giant, he was so tall compared to me.

(667 posts)Having Jack Snow didn't hurt. I always thought that Jack never got the credit he deserved.
