Josh Allen who had another Super Bowl game today in a loss to the Rams

Saquon Barkley who might hit 2,000 yards this year.

Still a lot of Super Bowl potential teams left in the running.

1. Barkley Set The Eagles Record Today

In THIRTEEN games! This time last year the Eagles were in a spiral.
This year they appear ss one of the top 5 teams in the league. Biggest change is Barkley.
Seems to fit the definition of valuable.
In the AFC, Allen seems the obvious frontrunner. I don't see Jackson winning a 3td, because there's a string chance the Ravens won't even win their division. Add that to voter fatigue, and I think we can scratch Lamar for the award this year.
Goff in the NFC is the only other obvious candidate, but I'd still vote for Barkley.

Goff is Super Man this year, certainly MVPesque.

Sam Darnold is looking good. I’ve liked him since his USC days. Languished with the Jets but finally has a team around him. Often showed the talent in the past. Kinda center stage now.

3. If he sets the record...

Sequon Barkley is the MVP. If not, Jared Goff, even though Lamar Jackson might have better stats. Goff has looked phenomenal and his completion percentage is stellar. He would be awarded for his team's success, I expect. But breaking Dickerson's record in an era when running backs are considered fungible is an amazing accomplishment. It's a bit unusual for a non-quarterback to get the award, because almost everyone considers the position the most important in sports. That's why I think Barkley only gets MVP if he breaks the record.
