NY Jets set a new standard for futility

The Jets have now missed the playoffs in 14 straight seasons, breaking a tie for the longest streak in all of sports:

1. New York Jets (14)
2. Buffalo Sabres (13)
3. Los Angeles Angels (10)
4. Pittsburgh Pirates (9)
5. Charlotte Hornets, Denver Broncos, Detroit Red Wings (8)
