He had an operation to remove half his pancreas. Apparently, the 5 year survival rate for patients undergoing this procedure is 20-25%.
Moss was never a feel-good player for me, but his skills on the field were undeniable, and I wouldnt wish his illness on anyone.
Heres hoping he can beat the odds.

(154 posts)Randy Moss was an outstanding wide receiver and had a long, successful NFL career.
He wasn't my favorite player either, but quite a talent.
Also wishing him the best in his recovery efforts. The biggest challenge of his life confronts him.

I hope Randy fares better.

Hopefully, Moss (being an in shape ex-athlete) will have an advantage in his fight .
