About 150 people laid off.
The first PC Game I bought was X-Wing. I remember playing Maniac Mansion and Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders on the Commodore 64 and Amiga. I still hold out hope that those games, along with Grim Fandango and Full Throttle will some day show up on Steam or GOG.
I wonder if Star Wars 1313 got canceled in the process. Supposedly it's been on hold ever since Disney acquired everything Lucas.

(13,730 posts)It's not that we will nto see new titles, as Disney has the means, what is sad is that games like tSWTOR will be out in the cold.

(18,807 posts)The LucasArts I knew and liked actually died years ago; the one that got closed down wasn't it, and never would be again.
Still pissed about that kind of closure, to say nothing of losing more than a hundred jobs from one of the longest-running companies in the industry. Ugh.
