Got me a new hand banger.

Picked up a new Walther built Colt 22 that operates like a 1911 only smaller. Took it out today and shot 200 or so rounds out of it. Handles well and so far shoots almost as well as my 422 Smith. Fit and finish are respectable and it takes down like a 1911. Biggest difference is the barrel remains attaches to the frame.
As far as money, I got the "match" pistol with adjustable sights , commander hammer and lightened trigger. Trigger pull is a little tight but should lighten up some with use. Sights are very visible and the rear sight is fully adjustable. It also comes with finger groove wrap around rubber grips. The price was $430+tx not to bad for the times. More to come as I wring this one out(that means I shoot it a lot).

If you have tried other .22 auto-loaders, how does it stack up with them? Eleanors38 Oct 2013 #2

had a Ruger but did not like the grip angle. Using Win 22high speed solids both pistols grouped close. The 422 has an edge because of a better trigger, and the Walther was new and I am still learning it.
