Hello! Well met! Yay! us!! + A good historical video you might like . . .

Has anyone here seen The Pillars of the Earth? One of the main characters is a Witch. There's also a Druid jongleur; Great ensemble casting!! Violent. also Romantic (sexy). Good! screenplay.

I certainly didn't get the sense from either the book or the miniseries that it was promoting Christianity. It did seem historical to me. And it certainly doesn't flatter the Catholic Church, not at all.

I didn't make it to the end of the series, and then we cut back on our cable subscription.

But I did read the book, which I think is better. And there is a sequel to the book. Not a direct sequel; it is set a couple of hundred years later, if I recall correctly.

But I enjoyed them both immensely. Although I can no longer watch violence, and there is a bit of that.
