funny merc retro story
Right round the start of merc retro, my wireless roadrunner blinked out one night. When it came back on, it showed up as verizon in my system So for the last few weeks, when I've looked at my internet connection I've seen verizon. I couldn't remember what my connection used to say, although I was sure it wasn't verizon.
So yesterday, for the 4th, my internet blinked out. When it finally started to come back on, it showed verizon, but now it was asking for a password. I found my notes from when my roadrunner was installed and entered that password. It didn't like it. I ended up calling tech support.
Turns out that at the start of merc retro my roadrunner connection completely disappeared from my system and was replaced by a *neighbor's* wireless So the tech reconnected me at his end. Phew...all is working again!

(14,881 posts)I normally get a weak signal from my living room, but the other day I was there and couldn't get on. Windows diagnosis suggested something interfering with the signal.
Moved to my bedroom, and it reconnected immediately.
