7. Ed Tamplin

Ed Tamplin is the best mundane astrologer I know of. You can follow his weekly explanations and forecasts for geopolitical issues as well as general sun sign forecasts. He's worth following regularly because he really gets it and is clearly on the right side of things. Ed's in Australia but he's probably forgotten more US and world history than most of us have ever known. Brilliant and astute observer and brilliant and astute astrologer.

it is amazing to me that people do this, I am very intimidated by all the charting and stuff, it actually reminds me of things like geometry from high school, from the looks of it...to do that every month for twelve signs and then tackle world events etc is very cooll

12. I'm an Astrologer, and I Have the Scoop on That.

I myself was getting a reading from my own personal astrologer way back at the end of July last year, and one of the charts I requested from her was a triwheel composite chart, with the inner wheel being the US natal (Sibley) chart, the middle wheel being secondary progressions, and the outer wheel being solar arc progressions - with current planetary transits penciled in around the outer rim. This triwheel chart was constructed for the day of the election - Nov. 8, 2016. It took me all of about a minute or so to look at the chart and gasp, OMG! The chart screamed out a totalitarian power grab, and the abuse of power in high places by Pluto-crats. Of course, my first and most obvious conclusion when looking at the chart was - oh no - a Trump win in November, which is exactly what happened, even though I was hoping against hope for a Hillary win, being a faithful member of DU.

The key features of this triwheel chart were:

1) Transiting Pluto opposing the natal Sun of the US, when one adds three degrees to adjust for equinoctial precession in the 200-some odd years since our country's founding. This shows that we are, as a nation, undergoing a radical change or transformation (Pluto) of our national self image (Sun), and must collectively come to terms with the demons of our dark side to exorcise them and purge them before we can heal ourselves and move on.

2) Secondary progressed Pluto and solar arc Neptune both aligning exactly conjunct the US Midheaven. This shows a deceptive act (Neptune) in the interests of a big power grab (Pluto) which will have a profound impact on the US and its standing in the world (Midheaven). Neptune also involves a weakness of our defenses, and pathogenic factors that have penetrated them. This is all about the Russian hacking and the deceptive presidential campaign of Donald Trump.

These are the two "biggies" that must be understood astrologically to come to terms with what we are going through as a nation. All the rest is just window dressing, as it were.

Great to have your insight. We've obviously got a lot of work to do, coming to terms with the demons and healing ourselves. Most in this forum have done so consciously - not saying we're done with it, but have worked on ourselves - and wonder if the rest of our nation wants to.
