Notice how the division is increasing between beauty and ugliness?
In the increasingly positive energy of the 4th and higher vibrational dimensions, the energy of co-creation, as Karen Bishop calls it, "That which a thing is, increases". Feedback. Responsibility. Manifestation.
That which harbors large amounts of negative energy is becoming heavier and obvious. This includes individual, local, and national karma/energy. That which pursues beauty and joy and laughter, is finding increasingly quick rewards along those lines, as is our birthright. And we're still a year away from 2012's energies. This is still our house-cleaning at various levels. Things are accentuated so that we may examine and reject that which no longer works. This goes to the extent of the increasing power grabs done by BushCo and their international money buddies, as well as "our" Congress etc. with these horrific new bills. The bad works of banks and politicians are increasingly revealed so that we may examine and discard, on our way to building a better world, a better way of living.
To quote the #Occupy placard, "...this is a process."
The negative must be resisted and defeated to clear the path to a higher way of life, this is our responsibility. It is won through the increasingly united voice of the people, which carries vast power (again, responsibility). We are inventing ourselves, trying on things and throwing them away, evolving into that which we wish. This is natural to the shift in energies.
Remember, that which you seek and build shall be yours. Spend time building the muscles of humor and joy, to better stay in them. Cheers!

(17,045 posts)I've been struggling to resist negativity at work and have been trying to protect myself from negative people at work who suddenly seem meaner and more poison.
Humor and joy - that's what I need to cultivate. If I can't encourage it in others, I can exercise those muscles for myself.

(46,179 posts)The negative energy surrounding my profession follows me home, haunts my sleep, and occupies my mind, crowding positive to the fringe.
I've felt generally depressed, hopeless, and sick for a couple of years now, and it's getting worse.
I have to find a way to focus on the positive energies inherent in my profession and somehow block the rest out, but so far I have not been able to achieve this.

(38,893 posts)is self-work...I tend to outrage, which is useless unless directed intelligently. It's also less and less of a good idea in the positive energies...and note that my message is in duality. I could be much more skillful with those words, and not cause anyone to feel upset or left out. I'll have to work at that.
Regarding your work, I'm sure you've looked into doing it yourself, freelance...is there another avenue for your talents, even one to which you've specifically not been attracted? Meanwhile, spend time with your favorite happy people, doing happy things together. Purchase all of your favorite happy music and film, etc. Build that muscle so it becomes a habit, not a struggle. I have to work at it too, trust me

(46,179 posts)A public school teacher.
I don't want to abandon public education, which I feel is a cornerstone of a democratic society, to the destroyers. At the same time, my profession is currently under vicious attack, and the atmosphere at work is oppressive. It's demoralizing.
There is still some positive in the mix: the students, who need teachers who care about them. They are the only thing that keeps me showing up every day, outside of needing a paycheck.
For the rest, I'm doing less simply because I have less time; pay cuts and added duties keep me working at least 10 hours a day, and I've added MORE extra duties to try to make up some of the lost income, so I'm basically working and sleeping...not much else.
You are correct about spending time with happy people. As an introvert, the more stressed I am, the more I withdraw. At this point, I am not spending time even with those I love the most without coercion. That's probably the place to start.

(38,893 posts)We are starting to solve problems together, and as stated above, part of the reason they are now showing up is so that we can say "NO!" to them and thus move forward with what works. Make a stand where you have to, as you see fit. Thank you for being a teacher, it is highly valued

(14,881 posts)the situation at work is dragging me down. management is sociopathic. Many co-workers are deliberately or inadvertently abusive. And I am increasingly withdrawing as a result. And now teaparty Gov. 38% plans to drop 65,000 people from medicaid, which will cost the state 4,000 jobs.
I am trying to find a supplemental income through helping my neighbors. I am learning to build "interior storm windows" and after I finish my house, will advertise for those here in the far north who lack and can't afford the regular kind. Saves energy and saves them considerable $$. Also hope to demo and sell solar cookers for the same reason.
But I feel physically like I'm trudging frozen through 4' of snow...

(46,179 posts)I really don't think I can find another way to support myself, especially in this economy. My skills are specialized for my job. If I could, would I quit my calling, because the energies are so sapping? Probably not; it IS a calling, and I can, and do, provide some small lighter space.
If I quit, I'd be joining the heavy energy; giving up.

(14,881 posts)teaching something(s) outside the system, where you can use your skills and follow your without the bureaucratic interference and coworker negativity?

(46,179 posts)I don't know if I can find a way to teach outside the system AND pay the bills.
That, and I'm reluctant to abandon the system; it's a cornerstone of a free, democratic society, and I'd rather fix it than flee.

(4,950 posts)in the face of negativity. Indulge in a walk in the park on time off, cook something special and fun for yourself and others (even cookies delivered to the security team at work or the housekeeping team-- the teams that people usually overlook--particularly this time of year).
We have this problem at my job. Everyone complains. People "need to vent"-- usually about another employee and this just spreads the antijoy. Find reasons to laugh.
