A gift for my friends here . . . October Rain, new version

Listen to this beautiful duet from A Future Star, the show that selects Israel’s Eurovision entry.
Daniel Weiss, who lost his parents on Oct 7, sings with Valerie Hamati, an Israeli Arab, performing Eden Golan’s Hurricane/October Rain.
I hope they represent Israel at Eurovision—together!
Dare you not to cry.

Can the same song, even with different lyrics, be submitted twice?

She had to change the lyrics from October Rain to Hurricane to make it palatable to the organizers.

That is a really good question that crossed my mind, too. I do not know the answer, but I hope so. This version is pure beauty and heart. The fact that an Arabic (I assume, but I do not know Muslim) singer and a Jewish singer were performing the duet made it incredibly powerful.
