Prayer request for daughter undergoing surgery this morning.

PRAYER REQUEST

Please pray for my daughter, Pamela Anne Gariety, who will be undergoing a right translabyrinthe resection for acoustic neuroma cranial surgery this morning . . . meaning a complete loss of hearing in her right ear due to a tumor that must be removed. Please pray for God to direct the surgeon's hands . . . and that Pam make a speedy recovery and successful rehabilitation.

UPDATE --- 4:50 p.m.

Surgery went well. The benign acoustic neuroma has been removed. Pam is in ICU and recovery is beginning! Thanks so much for all of the prayers and support!

Pam was out of ICU late last night; and, later today, she'll be coming home.

I'm sure you are very relieved. My daughter had a health scare in April. Not as serious as your situation but stressful. I hope she heals well. Get some rest momma.

Although my daughter is now 60 years old, Momma can still be a worry-wart who gets out of bed at 3:30 a.m. rather than tossing and turning all night the night before her baby's surgery. So . . .

I am thankful that the surgery went well.

55. Thankfully, no! Neurofibromatosis wasn't the cause.

Yes, the surgery went well . . . and she's healing quite nicely
but she still has bouts of dizziness and asks for continued
prayers.

Though she will be in physical therapy for another month, she
is beginning to "learn" to drive again---though she is required
to have a driver with her in the car/ And, she can't drive at
night or when it's raining . . . windshield wipers running would
trigger dizziness. During her first attempts at driving
again ((yesterday and the day before), she said it felt like
drunk-driving must feel.

56. I have three friends with NF2

Two have passed but had surgeries as you described. They lived for over a decade after their surgery. I am thankful that she is doing well and does not have NF2.
