"God is good"

This morning I read an article about the catastrophic flooding in Tennessee and I need to vent.

A woman lost her twin 7-month-old babies, who were ripped away by the rushing waters and drowned. All of her family's meager possessions were lost as well. But she declared "God is good" because her neighbors pooled together enough money to pay for her children to be buried.

This is a discussion thread for atheists, where I presume I can safely vent (as noted in my OP) without "knocking" anyone for their irrational reliance on an abusive relationship with their god.
