What's the harm?

Death following chiropractic adjustment.

I know nothing of the deceased, but I've heard of this kind of stroke previously. I'm also aware that chiropractors maintain a series of disclaimers and waivers to minimize their liability while rattling people's joints.

I also have to say that when I read about this last night, I saw five different articles that mentioned her visit to the chiropractor, but when I looked this morning those same articles now omit this detail (though it still shows up in the Google result before you actually click the link). In the interest of disclosure, I must admit that the report may be inaccurate, and perhaps she didn't see a chiropractor.

But it seems clear that she didn't see a medical doctor either, until it was too late.

Very sad.

can cause strokes. As I remember, they can also cause disected arteries in the neck.

Last time I saw her, she was walking with a cane and learning to tie her shoes again.

And she was suing the chiropractor.
