Loners
Related: About this forumWhy if I like being alone do I sometimes have moments of great loneliness?
Tonight is one of those nights. Maybe I'm dreading the daylight because it'll be my anniversary and husband isn't coming to town to celebrate. Even chocolate ice cream hasn't helped.
Sometimes I even confuse myself.

(10,618 posts)I know what the word "loneliness" means. In theory. But I really don't have a clue what it feels like. Am I lucky, or do I need some serious therapy?
Although I do enjoy spending time with people, I can't honestly say I've ever missed it when I go for long periods without company.

(1,951 posts)just another Friday, would you be feeling as alone?
Also (and this is pure assumption), if you're anything like me, your husband is one of the few people or the only person you can be around without having to be "on", without needing time to recharge later. So missing him around a day that's special to you as a couple only makes sense.

(7,512 posts)when I'm by myself and I see other people out enjoying themselves I'm filled with envy and remorse that I don't have close buddies to hang out with - at least one.
