Loners
Related: About this forumIf you use EBT (food stamps)
Being elderly, disabled, alone, and with no car,
I have been using Walmart's grocery delivery and the Kroger (locally, Smith's) grocery delivery,
charging it to my credit card.
Today I saw I am able to use my EBT with Walmart grocery delivery online.
I've shopped Walmart "in store" a number of years and see their on line prices are comparable to their "in store" prices.
You do need to list a credit card where they can charge the delivery fee (if any) or any non food items.
Also, if you post your EBT info to Amazon, you can get Amazon PRIME at half price (about $6 a month) and use your EBT to buy groceries from the Amazon PANTRY. Look for 'EBT eligible', as the item must be sold and shipped by Amazon to qualify for EBT.
At this time you can not use EBT to buy food from Amazon's WHOLE FOODS Market or 'Amazon Fresh'.
There is no delivery fee with Amazon PRIME.
Although other grocers do delivery, Amazon and Walmart are the only two I am aware of which accept EBT.

(1,875 posts)I have been bugging my landlady about letting me use my EBT card to make up for all the groceries that she buys. I don't drive, either, and it seems that every time she comes home with groceries it was a spur-of-the-moment thing that happened while she was out for some other reason.
Stay safe.

(34,195 posts)If you are referring to Walmart delivery, locally it is $7.99 to $9.99 depending upon the time you want delivery.
Busier times are $9.99

I don't have to put up with people trying to kill the human race anymore!
