The Energy&Environment board isn't noted for long, thoughtful, non-confrontational exchanges on the nature of consciousness, but this thread is chock-full of win.

People gave the ideas some serious thought. My expectations had been seriously eroded by my participation in that group, but this time they surprised me quite pleasantly.
