Well, I think I have found a way out of the corporate world and into a right livelihood position. This means a lot to me. It will be a significant cut in pay, but I'll be able to advocate for GLBTQ elderly persons in nursing/group homes. So many elderly GLBTQ people have either no family, family that has shunned them, and/or no support system. Many feel the need to go back in the closet to be a part of these communities. It's a terrible price to pay for these people, and the nursing homes have no clue. I hope to have the opportunity to make a small difference.

(2,842 posts)and it's a shame that it's frequently overlooked. In a proper occupation you can practice "wisdom is compassion" each working day. I think the traditional list ranking jobs has held pretty true over the centuries.
Best wishes to you.
