These gas prices are almost as bad as the job market: Gas prices top $4 a gallon nationwide as Iran war drives record
Gas prices top $4 a gallon nationwide as Iran war drives record surge
WASHINGTON (TNND) Drivers across the country are seeing record-breaking surges in gas prices, with the national average for a gallon of gasoline now above $4 as the war with Iran fuels uncertainty in global energy markets.
The national average crossed the $4 mark, according to AAA.
Patrick De Haan, GasBuddys head of petroleum analysis, said the spike is already hitting consumers hard.
De Haan said the jump from below $3 to $4 in about a month is the biggest GasBuddy has seen since it began tracking prices more than 25 years ago. He said the increases have been widespread.
