(71,998 posts)i always loved the song- baby it's cold outside. sung seductively by so many great duets over the years.
then i played an old disc of rat pack xmas songs. dean martin sings it alone. my daughter says- nice date rape song.
and damn, when that old drunk sang it, it sure was. can't listen to it any more.

(53,221 posts)Baby has always been gross, but I'm not convinced by the other ones.
I don't like "all I want for Christmas is you" but I don't think it's sexist. It could as easily be a man singing those lyrics.

I watched it a bunch of times, and to be honest have always enjoyed it, but I probably shouldn't have. It's all so engrained in society, that sometimes you just watch and accept.

just liek the woman that would slap a man, for whatever reason, cause she was allowed and part of being a woman. that always bothered me.

she was point on with all of them. bring the issue to awareness does not mean some of them are big deals. but, i did not see a flaw in her argument. interesting.
