1. don't have time to watch, but

i always loved the song- baby it's cold outside. sung seductively by so many great duets over the years.
then i played an old disc of rat pack xmas songs. dean martin sings it alone. my daughter says- nice date rape song.
and damn, when that old drunk sang it, it sure was. can't listen to it any more.

3. "Baby It's Cold Outside" is hands down creepy, and Santa

Baby has always been gross, but I'm not convinced by the other ones.

I don't like "all I want for Christmas is you" but I don't think it's sexist. It could as easily be a man singing those lyrics.

6. You know one of the most sexist movies, I think ever watched was a John Wayne movie

called the "Quiet Man".



I watched it a bunch of times, and to be honest have always enjoyed it, but I probably shouldn't have. It's all so engrained in society, that sometimes you just watch and accept.

8. even young this movie, and others really bothered me. i felt the inherent wrong in it

even though i was clueless as all of us were.

just liek the woman that would slap a man, for whatever reason, cause she was allowed and part of being a woman. that always bothered me.

I love Eartha Kitt's voice (and Eartha Kitt), so I'll always like her Santa Baby despite the subject matter.

11. #4, kissing snata, with little boys wondering... ya. that was the one i had to explain to them at

a young age, that daddy was dressed as santa. but, she is right. though in that light, we like the song.

she was point on with all of them. bring the issue to awareness does not mean some of them are big deals. but, i did not see a flaw in her argument. interesting.
