A 90% increase is unconscible for Medicare PartD

The is how much my Part D monthly Charge went up for 2025. It was 13.40 per month this year and is now $134 for next year. The only other option that is less is Wellcare which is $0, but most of my drugs are not included. I have VA benefits so I'm switching to the VA with no monthly fee, but a high co-pay.

(Note: I don't know if it is only my area of Central Coast California that has this price increase, so others may not have these distract premium increases.)

All vaccines on the medicare schedule are free with all part d plans, including shingles.

Of course if your didn't enroll in part d when you became eligible you get socked with the stupid permanent penalty.

to 43/month. Apparently they are adding on some junk I neither need nor want. I'm going to change plans. I saw Wellcare as well. Wellcare seems to have both good and bad reviews. They also do Medicare Advantage, maybe the bad reviews are for those plans. I'm only on one cheap, old med. My plan B is going to be México. After 4 decades as a registered nurse I have developed an allergy to the US "health care" system.

If not then you will have to pay out of pocket or a for similar drug. (Not a generic drug.)

My Wellcare part D premium went from 40 cents a month to $17.40.
That's a 43 times increase.
