Can't Ignore: 1,010 US Gun Deaths, 17 Mass Shootings By Jan. 9

Earlier this week, following the New Year, we vowed to keep our eyes on the data and to keep you informed of the numbers. Numbers that are far to high to ignore.

By 9th day of the year the National Gun Violence Association has already reported 1,010 hun related deaths, 17 mass shootings, and 1 mass killing.

it should be noted that more than half of all the gun deaths in this time have been determined to be suicides.

There have been 46 children killed and 102 injured by gun violence since the New Year.

Off to a roaring start, and the gun crowd couldn't be happier because their "rights" haven't been regulated.

And challenge America to do better.

Reach across the isle and give the "put up or shut up" speech....

"Can we at least get the mental health funding to stop the suicides?"

"Can we work together on that?"

AND IF NUMBERS GO DOWN WHEN CONGRESS WORKS TOGETHER....

See? It isn't THAT bad to actually DO our jobs and agree on some basic human terms.

That puts it in the Historical Record anyway.

Harder to white wash it that way.

With regards to Iraq. I seem to remember the phrase “since Mission Accomplished “

I think that’s a good idea
