Obama: Shame On Us If Wed Forgotten Newtown
12:09 PM EDT, THURSDAY MARCH 28, 2013
President Obama rejected the notion that the movement to reform the nation's gun laws was fading almost 100 days since the Newtown, Conn. school shooting massacre.
"Have we moved on to other things?" he said at a gun violence event at the White House. "That's not who we are. Less than a 100 days ago that happened and the entire country was shocked. Shame on us if we'd forgotten. I haven't forgotten those kids. Shame on us if we'd forgotten."
"We need everybody (to) remember how we felt 100 days ago," he added.
