Looking back on 2013...Let's Give HOPE A CHANCE... Democracy Now & "Yes Magazine" TRY!

(And we have to look at the accomplishments going forward in the New Year and BUILD on these Positives)

We often can't see what we've achieved in the past as we go forward because news moves so swiftly these days and the daily Breaking News is often Dispiriting and Gloomy....but, looking back we can see the Bright Glimmers of Hope as we learn to cope with what's revealed and find ways to move forward positively. Revealing that all is not lost...but MOVING FORWARD to resolution...in ways we might not have even ever imagined!

A Happy New Year to ALL who have chosen to give PMRG a look!

and FOR THE FUTURE!

==========

Looking Back: A Year of Struggles on Climate, Education & Marriage Equality Inspire Hope for 2014--Democracy Now with Sarah van Gelder of "YES Magazine"

On the last day of 2013, we look back on some of the many signs of hope that emerged on issues ranging from economic equality to LGBT rights to climate justice. With all the bad news that came this year, there were many encouraging displays of a shifting public consciousness and a willingness by ordinary people to mobilize for change. We are joined by Sarah van Gelder, co-founder and editor-in-chief of YES! Magazine, whose latest article is "10 Hopeful Things That Happened in 2013 to Get You Inspired for What’s to Come."

Was unsuccessful giving the Embedded Video..(they've gone to Quick Time)...but here are the links: One of them should work....

Sarah van Gelder, welcome to Democracy Now! So, what should we be inspired by?

SARAH VAN GELDER: Well, I think we should be inspired by the fact that there are so many people in the United States and all over the world who are working for change, many of which are actually being successful.
