Abby Martin Breaks the Set onKilling Snowden, American Addicts, Obama’s NSA Faux Reform, and the US Funding the Taliban.

EPISODE BREAKDOWN: On this episode of Breaking the Set, Abby Martin remarks on comments made by anonymous Pentagon and NSA officials expressing their desire to see Edward Snowden dead.

Abby then calls attention to the epidemic of prescription drug addiction in the US, speaking with filmmakers Sasha Knezev and Dr. Gregory Smith about their documentary ‘American Addict’ exploring the roots and effects of America’s deadly addiction to prescription narcotics.

Abby then calls out Obama’s long awaited speech regarding NSA surveillance, dissecting aspects of the speech that suggest no real change to global surveillance policies.

BTS wraps up the show with an interview with Douglas Wissing, journalist and author of ‘Funding the Enemy’ discussing the deteriorating relationship between Washington and Kabul, and the US governments mismanagement of taxpayer dollars that has led to both direct and indirect funding of the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Amazon Readers gave it pretty good reviews. I only have a Nook...but, it sounds like a good read. And, I thought her interview at the end with him was an interesting watch about Afhanistan and the Poppy Fields...

Douglas Wissing, journalist and author of ‘Funding the Enemy’ ...if anyone want's to look up the book to see what you think of the reviews..wherever you find them.
