UConn women's basketball sets program record with 20 3-pointers to overpower Iowa State
UNCASVILLE — First it was Ashlynn Shade.
The UConn women’s basketball's sophomore guard made 3-pointer after 3-pointer to open Tuesday night’s game against Iowa State. In fact, she made six of them not even 10 minutes in.
Sarah Strong then caught the hot hand.
The freshman buried Iowa State with corner 3-pointers and layups throughout the third quarter, scoring 17 of UConn’s 27 points in the frame.
