The American Federation of Teachers endorses Joe for President.

The American Federation of Teachers endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden in the Democratic presidential race, the union announced Sunday.

“From the beginning, our endorsement process and ultimate decision was guided by three principles: finding a candidate who shares our values, who has a clear path to victory, and who enjoys the support of a clear majority of our members,” AFT President Randi Weingarten said in an announcement. “That time has come, and that candidate is Joe Biden.”

Internal polling conducted by Hart Research on behalf of AFT shows a majority of Democratic members of AFT said they support Biden over his rival Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

The poll found 61 percent of Democratic members said they support Biden, compared to 29 percent that said they support Sanders. Among independents who said they vote in Democratic primaries, Biden had 50 percent support from members and Sanders had 37 percent support, based on the same poll.

13. A Vermont local of the AFT endorsed him, but as they like to do they presented it as....

..."The American Federation of Teachers", giving the impression that the entire union nation-wide endorsed him.

The Vermont local has 5,000 members, the national organization has more than 3,000 locals and 1,700,000 members.

This really isn't the first time they've done this. It's obviously not an isolated incident, or some rogue staffer who got a little carried away.
