Bird flu mutated inside US patient: CDC - ABC News

The bird flu virus in a seriously ill patient in Louisiana has mutated to better adapt to human airways, but authorities confirm it has not spread beyond that individual.

I’m of the opinion this virus has the potential for mutating to human-human transmission. I only hope NIH and subsidiaries are still studying potential vaccines. Given that the dotard botched the Covid response in 2020, I expect no less as second time around.

My PhD was in influenza and I currently work in a field where I see this virus frequently.

An HPAI outbreak would be devastating as the death rate for high path viruses tends to be higher than COVID (at least for pneumonia cases - many workers are getting conjunctivitis thus far). Around 50% mortality. 😱

1. Ignore everything that 45 says about what to do regarding the virus.
2. Go back to masking in public if it reaches epidemic or pandemic levels.
3. Carry hand sanitizer with you.
4. Wash hands often.
5. Maintain a distance of 6 feet.
6. Get updates on the situation from countries that have REAL doctors and scientists at the head of their health services.
7. Give all the moral support and encouragement that you can to doctors, hospitals, and nurses because they're really, really going to need it to go through this all over again.

their memories too short to remember the devastation and deaths from 2020. They are going to behave the same way in 2025 as they did in 2020. Your list is great, and guaranteed the MAGA population won’t do any of what is listed.
