Trump embarrasses himself blurting falsehoods in response to New Orleans attack - Ali Velshi - MSNBC

In what has become a familiar display of Donald Trump's inability to inform himself with facts before jumping at the chance to make inappropriate political points, Trump made a fool of himself with his response to the deadly New Year's Day attack in New Orleans. Tim Miller, co-host of the Bulwark podcast, discusses with Ali Velshi. - Aired on 01/02/2025.

I sure agree with you, timing is everything. And he's incapable of being embarrassed by his hypocrisy Rhiannon12866 Jan 3 #2

Trump is installed in the WH.

And the same events happen.

He would have said the same thing, that these events were the work of criminal, undocumented people in this country.

And he would have shut down the country with decrees of martial law.

And even when the facts would come out that he was entirely wrong, he would maintain the martial law.

Timing is everything.

BTW, in my assessment of Trump as a combination of psychopath and malignant narcissist, I doubt he's felt "embarrassment" since Fred Jr. dumped the bowl of mashed potatoes on his head.

And you're right about his brother dumping the bowl of mashed potatoes on his head. According to Mary Trump's book, when he first took office, the family was invited to the White House for a celebration of his sister's birthday. And someone brought up the mashed potatoes and that really set him off - all these decades later.
