And that was very cool that both he and Steven Ford read what their fathers wrote, it's just too bad that Jimmy Carter didn't hear what his closest friends had to say. I remember from his book when Gerald Ford called him and asked him to give his eulogy. That was a rough thing to hear from his long time friend. They got together when they were both asked to attend a foreign funeral (Nixon was there, too) and they got to talking on the plane. The rest is history.
