Why the Trump hush money trial was worth it even though he didn't go to jail - Alex Wagner - MSNBC

With Friday's sentencing, Donald Trump is officially a criminal felon despite his best efforts to duck and dodge and seek favor with his particularly devoted judges.

Kristy Greenberg, former federal prosecutor, and Andrea Bernstein, journalist covering Trump legal matters for NPR, talk with Alex Wagner about Trump's unhappy reaction and why the trial was worth having even though Trump ultimately avoided any real punishment. - Aired on 01/10/2025.

....if prosecuting accused criminals is "worth it".

Isn't that the entire basis of a justice system?

What I really don't get is how anyone in their right mind could possibly vote for a convicted felon, an adjudicated rapist who also stole classified documents, jeopardizing national security, and attempted to overthrow the government he was inexplicably allowed to run again to lead! He insults our troops, yet has plans for them as Commander in Chief! The justice system has let us down since any criminal responsible for even one of those crimes would have been locked up long ago - for our nation's and the American people's security!

It was election interference. Talking heads and “journalists” have pushed this meme and continue to misinform the American public.
