1. Sorry as much as I have watched and follow your channels you have to be straight with us AND YOURSELVES.

This all started with the theft of the 2000 election. Today, we stand in a world where they have lied, cheated and stolen every little step they need to bring us to this point 25 years later.

You are trying to sell me and others in our seventies that we have options. WE DON'T. We will never see our Democracy again.

Every time we needed to admit where they were headed, we said, "Oh, don't worry; it will all be better soon."

We always put people in positions of power but let them ignore the decisive action that NEEDED to be taken; the current AG is a perfect example.

Time is on their side, and they will use it to destroy us. Who thinks VP Vance will give up the White House in four years? Trump will soon be minimized by those who know he's a moron. The 25th Amendment will sweep him aside and put the 40-year-old at the helm.

STOP whitewashing the truth. We are F....ed. For decades ahead, if you are still alive.

I've been thinking today that this last election could very well be the end of the American "experiment" that has now lasted almost 249 years. And those of us who were around to celebrate America's bicentennial are especially devastated.

I don't know what the average age is for DUers. But I bet a large portion of them (us) WILL NOT LIVE TO SEE A TRUE DEMOCRACY AGAIN.

4. It hasn't always been that way

When I first joined DU, I was friendly with several teenagers, I posted congratulatory threads for two of them when they graduated from high school, bright kids! But now those of us who joined back in the day, and I was far from the first, have aged along with the site. And I have to say, how grateful I am that DU has endured since I still learn from the best and the brightest here each and every day.
