3. As ice melts in Greenland and in the northern Arctic seas,

northern nations that border on the Arctic have interests in future control of the region. That includes Russia and the US.

If the US wants to guard its access to the area from a Chinese or Russian takeover, it could negotiate cooperation with other Arctic nations, like Sweden, Norway, and Canada. China does not have any Arctic territory, but it dues have world economic interests.

But Mr. 45 does not negotiate. He bullies. He's probably following Russian instructions to gain control and prevent China from any influence. Both Russian and US oligarchs have an interest in Greenland's resources

His tactics are alienating European Arctic nations who are (or were?) our allies.

I think that European nations can successfully stand together against such tactics.
