(1,507 posts)56. People who threaten to, try to, or succeed to commit suicide don;'t want to die. They don;t want to live.
Life can be tricky, chaotic, threatening, disappointing, difficult, competitive, or all of the above and more.
They are fearful of facing it and taking the bumps in the road that occur.
It's not a matter of reassuring them with platitudes about the beauty life or thinking of others. It's a matter of offering them alternative solutions.
