Set the goalposts now and make sure the public knows about it.

Surely we can announce principles for a tax plan that is more popular than "Cut taxes for the extremely rich and their corporations".

We need to publicize an alternative agenda to everything the Republicans propose, and do so before their plans gain momentum.

Show people they have a choice, and make that choice clear.
