In reply to the discussion: What is the greatest Christmas movie? [View all]La Coliniere
(1,072 posts)40. Room for One More, it's on TCM tonight at 10pm.
From 1952. Cary Grant and Betsy Drake are parents who have their own kids, but are talked into taking in a couple troubled foster children. Its charming, predictable and yes, schmaltzy. Reminds me very much of my childhood because my natural parents also took in foster kids. My parents werent Cary Grant or Betsy Drake, but they were very kind folks with very big hearts. And solid Democrats throughout their lives. Merry Christmas yall!

Didn't understand that movie. Christmas lights, all women except wives naked prostitutes, guys in Halloween costumes.

I'd take Christmas Story over Die Hard. Shep is SLIGHTLY more hypnotic than Rickman.
