34. It is necessary for the good of the race that the weak be eliminated, not coddled.

This is the sum total of the philosophy of Mr Musk and his ilk. They worship at the feet of a bastard interpretation of evolution that demands "survival of the fittest," and sees those who are poor, disabled, or somehow not up to their standards of "fitness" as a waste of resources that could be better applied to the progress of the race (or the Race, if you prefer). That "Western Civilization" has devoted an increasing amount of time and resources to these culls is causing it to lose ground to the more ruthless (and numerous) competitors who are not concerned with such "coddling."

Their solution for fixing things is to eliminate everyone who is not productive enough. And they, of course, judge what is "enough."
