…the more powerful factions into uncomfortable compromises. The US is not a parliamentary system — and all the Greens (for instance) have ever been able to accomplish is Getting Republicans Elected Every November. Third parties and others who want to “show the Dems a thing or two” have cost this country dearly, starting with Al Gore, who was a great environmentalist.
