2. Good grief! The US will NEVER have "energy independence"

Wednesday

We export the grades of fossil fuels we have in surplus (natural gas and very light crude from fracking) and import grades (like heavy crude from Venezuela) we need to make all the petroleum PRODUCTS we use. Yes, we make things other than gasoline from petroleum. Who knew!

The cheap natural gas we get from fracking is also why we aren't burning as much coal! We don't need "clean coal" when we have cleaner, cheaper natural gas!
