I do believe there are some good cops out there, and a lot of racist and/or sexist ones, too.

I truly can't blame the good ones for often not calling them out (and I think it's a individual decision) bc their lives, and with the worst ones of these bad ones their families lives also could be in danger, too.

In a better USA these types would be drummed out of their Academy, and never be allowed to be a sheriff (or assistant) any where else!
