5. I read more about and it does not seem likely

To be an epidemic / pandemic. Bird flus are not easily transmitted from person to person. People most at risk are those who are working in close contact with the birds and other animals that may have it. Another risk is obviously improperly or uncooked foods/ meat, and raw milk, etc.

Also, if you look up the death toll for this original bird flu strain, I wrote a long post about it elsewhere…I’ll try to link it here, worldwide it was relatively low extremely low with about 948 cases worldwide from 2003- 2023, around half of that were deaths so 52% mortality but it’s not known if there could’ve been milder cases that weren’t reported so the mortality rate could be lower. Most of the cases here so far have been mild.


Of course things could change, viruses can mutate and we need to be on top of this. It could very well affect the food chain though however, and other animals.
