I'm currently re-reading "A Spy Among Friends" which is an astonishing trie history of Soviet Moles in British and U.S. Intelligence Services.

Of course the book is chiefly focused on Kim Philby, but his reach and networks were jaw dropping in it's sca[e and reach, not just in the U.K. but within the CIA at the tippy top of the "company" in Washington.

I know Garland isn't the puppet master of the network of current infiltrators, likely just a well placed asset or some might say a useful idiot .
